RESEARCHERS at Stanford University, US, have discovered a high-pressure form of the compound ammonia borane (NH₃BH₃), which contains over 30% hydrogen by weight and could be used to store hydrogen in fuel cells.

India is set to become a net exporter of urea, the most widely-used fertiliser in the country, with domestic fertiliser companies planning to invest up to $6 billion in four years on expanding urea production, a government official said.

FERTILISER giant Incitec Pivot Ltd has faced new allegations of abusing its market power.

Large north-western NSW grain grower Ron Greentree last week told a Senate inquiry into fertiliser markets he had been put in the position of having to buy liquid fertiliser NH3 from IPL through its Brisbane plant at what he believed were excessive prices.
